In another life I was probably a Gypsey.

I'm from eastern Canada, origninally. I've lived in Newfoundland, Ontario and Winnipeg, and I've travelled ll through Canada, and through much of the states.I moved to Norway in 2001, and then found myself somewhat of a illegal refugee in London for a few years after leaving Norway and my first marriage.

I've travelled briefly (less then a month) through much of Europe and Scandenvia, and I've spent time in the Middle East, and in Asia.

I adored London, and left it only after finding love on the internet. I don't advise anyone to do as I did, which was hop on a plane and move to Australia for internet love. My rather rash impluse worked out well, but its still not something you should do!

So now I can be found in the 'burbs of Brisbane, in a home that is modest but brings me incredible peace, where I live with my second husband, and man I treasure most because of his endless patience, and whom I sometimes lose patience with because of his sometimes maddening behavior- he has aspergers.

We have a small zoo onsite, which currently consists of four fishtanks, two cats, and two dogs. This is subject to change at any time without notice.Accompanying this pet-zoo is a growing jungle of houseplants and herbs.

I have an degree in English and Archaeology, but I work in accounts. We are heavilly involved in the fetish scene in SEQld.

If you think I come off as mouthy, opinionated, obnoxious; you are right - I am all of the above, at times. I am also bubbly, hideously happy with my lot in life, and spend much of my time trying to please those around me and brighten their day.

If my straightforward attitude is a problem for you, please save your energy, spare me the email scolding and move on, with my well wishes. Life is too short to waste it on needless conflict.

I'm a big ol' kid, who manages to act mature for short periods of time when absolutely necessary. Otherwise, I'm content being my ingrown self. Puddles are meant to be splashed in; snowflakes meant to be caught on a tongue; icecream meant to dribble down a chin; straws designed to blow bubbles in a drink; Saturday mornings are for newspapers and cartoons.

I am female, but I come equipped with balls (no, not actual testicles, don't interpret quite so literally, you pedantic twat!). I also happen to come with an outward innocence that charms authority figures everywhere. I don't like to lie to anyone I care for, but can convince strangers of nearly anything. Parents love me, friends adore me, partners despair of me, but end up succuming me despite themselves.

Artistic leanings include amateurish attempts at poetry, photography, painting, drawing.

Faith and beliefs; My father became a minister after I moved out. I tend to hold most organized religions, esp of the christian faith, in low regard, though I DO understand that some people need the comfort of such things- to each his own. My general disregard of christian faiths come from their tendancy to insist on sharing it with others uninvited.

When pressed, I will identify as athiest, but that, like so many other things about me, is questionable. I identify with ~elements~ of wicca, paganism, and even buddism. None of them are central enough in my daily life to widely associate. I take from each what I identify with and can practically use. Generally friends refer to me as a "new age hippy", due to my interest in alternative therapy stuff (herbalism, aromatherapy, meditation, crystals, acupressure, etc). All these things tie in nicely with the faith structures I mentioned, yet are adopted by me for their own energy, not for the structures and faiths that may claim them. I'm also surprised I had this much to say about faith!

I'm probably just too lazy to be religious.

Dislikes; People. On the whole they suck big fat hairy donkey's arse. I've been lucky enough to have found exceptions to this rule, and as a result have some truely incredible people in my life.

I have remarkable patience with loved ones, but little tolerance for arsehats. Life is too painfully short, and too beautiful to waste a single precious moment with someone who brings me down.I avoid drama queens an emotional vampires like the plague. Keeping my hands firmly out of the crazy. Make sure your neurosis are more endearing then irritating and check your issues at the door before saying hello.

I've had a fucked life (we all have, in our own way). I am aware of my issues, honest about residual effects they might have, and concious of their effects on people in my life. I do my best to minimize impact, and warn when I know impact is likely to occur.

I know what I am, (and what I am not), intimately and obscenely well. People sometimes mistake my opinions of me/my abilities as running myself down; this is not the case. I am confident in what I am and what I can do, but I am aware of my faults - and my downfalls.

I make no apologies for either.

I am positive to the point of being sometimes annoying. I have no intentions of changing that for anyone.
